Allianz Life Opens New Onsite Healthcare Center for Employees

True Care center another benefit that helps make company a national employer of choice

MINNEAPOLIS – Jan. 20, 2021 – Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life) today announced that it has opened an onsite healthcare center at its Golden Valley campus as part of its employee benefits program. In partnership with Healthstat, Inc., a leading provider of employer-sponsored health centers, the new facility will make high-quality and affordable healthcare more accessible and affordable for more than 2,500 Allianz Life employees and their benefits-eligible dependents.

The addition of the new health center is part of Allianz Life’s True Balance benefits program, which aims to help employees build and manage their physical health, financial fitness and social well-being. Other benefits available through this program include flexible work options, paid time off for volunteerism, employee recognition events, an onsite fitness center, a generous 401(k) program, financial literacy programs and more. Allianz Life offers many other onsite amenities including a child development center, convenience store and two onsite cafeterias. These are just some of the benefits that have earned Allianz Life a spot on the FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For list for the past nine years.

“The opening of the new True Care health center allows us to provide additional support for our employees, particularly during these challenging times,” said Jenny Guldseth, chief human resources officer, Allianz Life. “Allianz Life is committed to the health and well-being of our employees and this was an investment we made to enhance our outstanding employee benefits program.”

The new True Care health center will employ two people, including one full-time healthcare provider, and offer appointments to help treat common illnesses and help employees manage chronic conditions. The health center opened in December and is offering virtual appointments given most employees are working remotely due to the pandemic. As part of the options available through the CARES Act, virtual care appointments are being offered at no-cost to employees and their dependents enrolled in an Allianz medical plan through June 2021.

The dedicated health center and additional resources provided by Healthstat will provide Allianz Life employees and their benefits-eligible dependents affordable access to care that will help improve their health while lowering healthcare costs for them and for the Allianz health plan.
