Cathy Mahone is chief administrative officer for Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life®). Mahone is a member of the Allianz Life Executive Leadership Group, responsible for Enterprise Operations, IT, Compliance, and other strategic corporate initiatives.
Since joining Allianz Life in 2008, her leadership and direction have resulted in increased customer satisfaction, reduced cycle times, and significant expense reductions. Service levels improved from last to best in class for fixed annuities, employee engagement scores increased significantly, and run rate expenses were reduced year over year through reengineering of processes.
During her tenure as Allianz Life senior vice president of Enterprise Operations, Mahone led the division to achieve several awards for service quality, including the 2011 Financial Intermediary Service Quality Award. The Contact Center also received the 2011 Allianz Life Department of the Year Award under her leadership.
A champion of several critical initiatives for Allianz Life, Mahone has been instrumental in creating a partnership with Lifeworks, a nonprofit serving people with disabilities. Allianz Life has since employed eight Lifeworks clients and is a key business partner for the organization.
Before joining Allianz Life, Mahone was vice president of the Operations Project Management Office at Ameriprise Financial. In her more than 20-year tenure with Ameriprise, Mahone held a variety of leadership positions in Operations, Distribution, and Marketing.
Mahone holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in business communications from the University of St. Thomas. Additionally, Mahone holds her FINRA Series 7 and 24 securities registrations.
