MINNEAPOLIS – February 15, 2018 – Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life®) today announced that it has been named to the 2018 Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list for the seventh consecutive year, earning its best ranking since joining the list. Allianz Life is number 40 on the list, moving up 60 spots from 2017. In the 2018 edition, Allianz Life was recognized for offering its employees generous benefits and recognition programs as well as a direct connection to company leadership. The company currently employs 2,225 employees nationwide, with approximately 1,800 located at its main corporate campus in Minneapolis.
“We are honored to again receive this recognition from Fortune,” said Allianz Life President and CEO Walter White. “At Allianz Life, we strive to create a culture where every employee is valued, respected, and given the opportunity to reach their full potential. We know that our success as a company depends on the success of our employees.”
Allianz Life consistently maintains its focus on employee engagement. The company believes that high engagement directly leads to good customer experiences. Allianz Life was recognized as a company leader for the amount of paid time off it gives employees as well as the additional benefits that employees receive to support their well-being, both at work and outside of it. Some of these benefits include college scholarships for children of employees, paid time off for caregivers of newborns, adopted children, and aging parents, as well as reimbursement for gym memberships.
Allianz Life was also recognized for outstanding employee recognition programs. The company holds an annual recognition ceremony that gives employees “red carpet” treatment and also holds on-site events throughout the year featuring concerts, a 5k run/walk, and outdoor games in its courtyard.
In addition to the recognition from Fortune, Allianz Life has received several other honors in the past year.
- Named a top workplace by the Star Tribune (Minneapolis) for the eighth consecutive year.
