Second Harvest Heartland is looking for Food Rescue volunteers at their Maplewood location to help sort and organize food donations from their retail partners, before donations are shipped to agency partners. Safety and social-distancing measures are being implemented for volunteers. Register here.
Senior Community Services is seeking volunteers to send greetings via cards, postcards, and notes to seniors in our community who may be feeling increasingly isolated during stay-at-home orders. To volunteer, please contact the Senior Community Service’s CareNextion line at 612-770-7005.
The Food Group, an organization dedicated to providing healthy, culturally relevant food to those in need, is currently mobilizing volunteers (16+ years old) daily for packing and sorting food in its New Hope warehouse. The Food Group has implemented additional guidelines to ensure the safety of all participants as they meet the rising need for emergency food distribution within our community.
