Strengthening the future of our community

Community engagement at Allianz

content-azl-allianz-for-tomorrow

Our mission – we secure your future – doesn’t stop at retirement planning for our customers. At Allianz, we help secure the future of our employees and broader community in the Twin Cities by reducing barriers to economic inclusion.

We believe we can create a lasting and positive impact in the lives of many generations to come by increasing access to basic needs, gainful employment, and financial knowledge. We accomplish this through our Allianz for Tomorrow community engagement program, which includes corporate grantmaking and a deeply engaged employee volunteer network.

Keystone opens its Community Food Center

We’ve been partnering with Keystone Community Services for more than a decade, most recently helping support the opening of their new Community Food Center, located less than a mile from Allianz Field®. The center increases access to food security, support, and connections for neighbors in the Midway community and beyond. Allianz provided early financial support and advocacy for the development of the building, and we continue to provide multi-year funding to help expand services available at the food center and throughout Ramsey County. Allianz employees recently helped stock the shelves at the food center to get it ready to serve members of the community.

Building partnerships for long-term impact

As part of our corporate grant program, we focus on larger, multi-year grants to local nonprofits focused on reducing barriers to economic inclusion, with 75% of funds going to organizations located in or serving the Midway community in St. Paul near Allianz Field®. These types of investments allow nonprofits to have a longer-term view on inequities in our community that often have no quick fixes. With funding secured over multiple years, organizations can spend more time focusing on problem solving and implementation, and less on fundraising.

V8 (Volunteer 8) Program

Through our V8 Program, Allianz provides employees eight hours of paid time off each year to volunteer with any eligible charitable organization.

Group volunteer programs

We support employee engagement through the funding of up to $10,000 for eligible nonprofits where groups of employees volunteer or participate in fundraisers.

Each year during our Spirit of Giving campaign, employees donate food, clothing, and toys benefiting PRISM, the ARC Minnesota, Second Harvest Heartland, and Toys for Tots.
