Follow the steps below to see the past index options and renewal rates available for Allianz Index Advantage® New York. The initial caps and Participation Rates, if available, were set on the Index Effective Date, which is the first Term Start Date and the first date your money had the opportunity to be allocated to an index option.
There are a variety of factors that may affect renewal rates, including market volatility, the price and availability of hedging instruments, the level of interest rates, the utilization of contract benefits by owners, and our profitability goals. In a rising interest rate environment, increases in rates, if any, may be substantially slower than increases in interest rates. Keep in mind that past performance does not guarantee future results.
Renewal rates can be different between newly issued contracts and inforce contracts, and inforce contracts issued on different days and in different years. Renewal rates can also be different for each index. Once the contract is issued, the rates are subject to change annually on each Index Anniversary, and subject to the guaranteed minimums. Buffers do not change after they are established, which is usually at issue, and buffers can be different between index options. For index options added after issue, the buffer is established when the index option is added to the contract.
