Allianz Life Launches ‘Rebuilding Retirement’ Podcast

The first episode about the new reality of retirement is available to listen

MINNEAPOLIS – Dec. 5, 2023 – Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life) launched a new podcast for financial professionals today about the changing dynamics of modern retirement planning.

The podcast, “Rebuilding Retirement: Navigating a new reality with your clients,” takes a closer look at how retirements are evolving and how financial professionals can take on the challenge of preparing their clients for the future. The first episode of the series published today on AllianzLife.com/podcast and podcast platforms Apple, Spotify, and Google Podcasts.

“Retirements are changing – the financial industry is changing – what about you?” host Travis Walker asks financial professionals to open the series. In each episode, Walker, a business solutions and diversity consultant at Allianz Life, interviews industry leaders and innovators to explore topics like the role of technology, managing new risks to retirement income, and the next generation of clients.

Allianz Life research has revealed how Americans are facing a new retirement reality. For example, 56% of Americans said they now consider “financial crises” as a permanent part of their retirement planning in our 2023 Annual Retirement Study*. And, 53% of Americans said they are hesitant to invest any additional money in the market for the foreseeable future.

“Financial professionals are facing new challenges, new risks and new attitudes about retirement,” Walker says. “In this series, we explore this new retirement reality and offer helpful insights on how to take on the challenges. The easiest way to fall behind in this constantly evolving industry is simply to stand still – we have to grow and move with it. With all these changes, Americans need a financial professional who understands the issues and can offer guidance to help them achieve a successful retirement.”

The premiere episode of “Rebuilding Retirement” features Moshe Milevsky, a professor at York University in Toronto, and his views on the new retirement reality. In the second episode, CEO and Founder of Ellevest Sallie Krawcheck will offer insights into how we can expand the reach of financial services.
