Keep in mind, the fee does not impact the value (Lifetime Income Value) that is used to determine your income amount or your ongoing annual income (annual maximum). However, the fee does impact the value (accumulation value) that is used to access some (partial withdrawal) or all (full withdrawal) of your money. Indexed interest: Fixed index annuities do not directly participate in any stock, equity, or bond investments – so you're not exposed to market risk. Instead, you can earn interest that's based on changes in a market index such as the S&P 500® Index.

Withdrawals are subject to ordinary income tax and, if taken prior to age 59½, a 10% federal additional tax. Full or partial withdrawals are subject to an MVA, but withdrawals of the annual maximum under the Lifetime Income Benefit are not.
