[Narrator] In your life, in your finances, it would be wonderful if you could know all that's ahead.
Unfortunately, what we do know is there are many unknowns that can impact your financial well-being, things like market volatility, inflation, and future taxation.
But now you can lock in a level of protection against these and other unknowns with Allianz Life Accumulator™ Indexed Universal Life Insurance Policy.
[On-screen disclosure] The death benefit is generally paid to beneficiaries income-tax-free. [End of on-screen disclosure]
It begins with the death benefit that's income-tax-free to your beneficiaries and can potentially help them maintain their standard of living or supplement lost income.
But Allianz Life Accumulator™ goes beyond that, giving you the potential to build your policy's accumulation value tax-deferred, and helping you lock in interest gains even if the market drops.
Here's how that works.
Along with the option of receiving fixed interest, you can choose the potential to receive indexed interest, which is interest that's based on the performance of an external market index.
[On-screen disclosure] Potential interest credited may be subject to a crediting method cap or participation rate. [End of on-screen disclosure]
Although your policy is not actually invested in any market index, if the index you've chosen to track has a positive annual return, your accumulation value is credited with indexed interest.

Once you've received that interest, it can never be lost due to future market volatility.
[On-screen disclosure] Fees and expenses may reduce policy values. [End of on-screen disclosure]
So if the index goes down the next year, you'll receive zero interest, but you won't lose any of your accumulation value due to the market decline.
And with our Index Lock feature, once every crediting period, you have the ability to lock in an index value so you won't be subject to further volatility during the period.
To explain, let's go back to our graph and look at one particular year.
Earlier, we showed the index value as a straight line between crediting periods, but the reality is, during that period, the market could have had many fluctuations.
With Index Lock, anytime there's a positive change in the index value, you can activate the lock, and this will be the index value you receive at the end of the crediting period, no matter what else happens in the market after you've set the lock.
[On-screen disclosure] We will not provide advice or notify you regarding whether you should excersize an Index Lock or the optimal time for doing so. Because the index value locks at the end of the day, the value used to determine your index credit may be higher or lower than at the time of the request. The beginning index value for the next policy year will be the index value at the end of the previous policy year (not the locked-in index value). [End of on-screen disclosure]
And with Auto Lock, you can preset upper and/or lower index value targets.
[On-screen disclosure] Setting targets authorizes Allianz to automatically activate an Index Lock once the target is reached based on the index interest rate percentage at the end of the business day. Since the lock occus at the end of the business day, the index value used may be more or less than at the time of your request. [End of on-screen disclosure]
If the index value hits either of those targets, it will be automatically locked in.
Of course, by locking in an index value, it's possible that you could have received more or less interest than if you had chosen not to lock.
But you'll have the certainty of knowing you'll receive a positive index credit for the crediting period, or that you can limit any loss in a down market.
That's the power of Auto Lock and Index Lock.
Together they give Allianz Life Accumulator™ powerful potential for building cash value over time, which you can access through policy loans or withdrawals, and use for any reason, like supplementing your retirement, or helping with college funding or any other financial need.
[On-screen disclosure] Policy loans and withdrawals will reduce the available cash value and death benefit and may cause unintended consequences, including lapse or taxable events. Please see full loan and withdrawal disclosure within this material for details. [End of on-screen disclosure]
Allianz Life Accumulator™ can also be customized with optional riders for variety of purposes, including the ability to accelerate a portion of the death benefit in the event of a chronic or terminal illness.
[On-screen disclosure] Some optional riders are offered at an additional cost. [End of on-screen disclosure]
With all the unknowns in life that could threaten your financial well-being, why not add a little more certainty and know that you and your loved ones have a measure of financial protection, come what may?
[On-screen disclosure] Indexed universal life insurance policies require qualification through health and financial underwriting. [End of on-screen disclosure]

Policy loans and withdrawals will reduce the available cash value and death benefit and may cause the policy to lapse, or affect guarantees against lapse. Withdrawals in excess of premiums paid will be subject to ordinary income tax. Additional premium payments may be required to keep the policy in force. In the event of a lapse, outstanding policy loans in excess of unrecovered cost basis will be subject to ordinary income tax. If a policy is a modified endowment contract (MEC), policy loans and withdrawals will be taxable as ordinary income to the extent there are earnings in the policy. If any of these features are exercised prior to age 59½ on a MEC, a 10% federal additional tax may be imposed. Tax laws are subject to change and you should consult a tax professional.
The indexes available within the contract are constructed to keep track of diverse segments of the U.S. or international markets, or specific market sectors. These indexes are benchmarks only. Indexes can have different constituents and weighting methodologies. Some indexes have multiple versions that can weight components or may track the impact of dividends differently. Although an index may affect your interest credited, you cannot buy, directly participate in, or receive dividend payments from any of them through the policy.
