Allianz Life Employees Donate to Twin Cities Nonprofits Supporting Economic Inclusion

Holiday campaign contributes to local nonprofits experiencing increased demand this holiday season

MINNEAPOLIS – Dec. 12, 2022 – With Twin Cities nonprofits anticipating increased demand this holiday season, Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life) has donated over $175,000 along with toys, food and clothes to local nonprofits through its annual Spirit of Giving campaign.

Allianz employees collected and donated items during the company’s 23rd annual Spirit of Giving campaign to help reduce barriers to economic inclusion in the Twin Cities community this holiday season. The donations benefit Second Harvest Heartland, Toys for Tots, PRISM, and The Arc Minnesota.

“We know many community partners are experiencing increased demand for services right now because of economic uncertainty and high inflation, and that they need all the help they can get during the holiday season,” said Kenna Poppler, director of community engagement, Allianz Life. “Allianz Life is committed to supporting these nonprofits as they help meet the needs of people in our community during a challenging time.”

This year’s Spirit of Giving campaign collected:

  • $175,000 in employee cash donations and company match,
  • Nearly 30,000 pounds of food and clothing,
  • And over 1,000 toys.

Allianz Life supports the community’s financial future by partnering with organizations that help people achieve long-term financial security, which will help make the Twin Cities a better place to live and work for everyone. Each year, the company hosts several fundraising events to provide opportunities for employees to make a positive impact through donations of funds and goods.
